Heard they used to make their bikes in York somewhere. For some stupid reason, they moved down South and bing, bang, lost it all.

They also sold the Silvertone line of guitars, amps, phonographs, etc...
Lots of pretty famous people started playing on their guitars.

They also sold cars in the 50s. It was actually a Henry J but it was rebadged and sold thru Sears as the Allstate

I think they sold some small bikes from Binelli or something like that. I remember looking at them when I was a kid.

My Brother and I where bee keepers in Orange County/So Cal when we where in High School. We use to be able to get our bee supplies and live queen bees through the mail order.

Sears ??-106ss-ebay-2005-04-1.jpg

My first bike was a 1966 Sears (Gileria) 106ss
I paid $120 for it in 1969.
My first ever road trip was the night I graduated
from High School... I rode from Northern Virginia to Ocean City Md.
The shift was on the right side & the brake on the left.
It died just 2 blocks from home and I never rode it again.
Traded it and a bag of weed for a 68 Yamaha 250YDS3

Cool stuff.

But it makes me glad I wasnt forced to ride that crap.

Can you imagine hitting a pothole at 60 MPH on one of them things?
