I just sold my Wide Glide this past fall. I am looking at other bikes, I am liking the fat boys and the road king customs. Two totally different bikes I know.. Do you guys have any advise pros or cons...
I was always a fat boy kind of guy myself. LOVE they way they look. However, I did need the storage space and didn't like how the saddlebags looked on them. I decided to go with a Road King.
Man, I love this bike. I love the way it rolls, the way it handles, everything. I've had it for a little while now, and can't see myself on a fatboy, unless it was a second bike.
I say, go for the king. But either way, you can't go wrong!
My buddy went from a fat boy to a road king and then a road glide. I think he's done now. I like the heritage. Are you going to let us decide what you like?
Besides personal experience on a specific model of Harley, No one here can really answer your question until you tell us what you use your bike for, like long distance, short runs etc. How big are you? Do you want power or comfort or both??? Give us some background & your replies will be way more accurate!
I had an 04 fat boy I bought a leftover when my brother bought his 05 road king custom (I know have an 08 fat bob. I have probably put about 300 miles on his road king and aside from the handlebar position, I really like the ride. Saddlebags are nice too. But then again, the road king just is not a fatboy..... tough call, so I will be the first on here to say it, get both!
