Default Vance and Hines Slip Ons

Love my 2010 Road Glide...not to keen on the stock exhausts.
What happened to that great Harley sound. I'm thinking about ordering some Vance and Hines Slip Ons. Anyone have them? Do they inprove the sound?
And most important do they require any mods to the fuel system. Really don't want to mess with that...the bike runs great. Also wondering about any warrantee problems after installing them.
Thanks
RonC

If you don't mess with the air intake I don't think you need to mess with the fuel system. I had V+H pipes on my bike while it was still under warranty...was never a problem with my dealer.

EPA happened to the sound. Slip ons give it back. Leave the air filter alone and you won't need fuel changes. Won't affect warranty.

I run those. Great sound and if you want to change it a bit there are different baffles to be had.
Probably shouldn't need any fuel management.

know what you mean about the sound. I put Vance and Hines Basic slip ons on my 09 Road King and beefed up the sound a bit. To be honest, its still not quite what I was looking for...but definitely better than stock. Deeper at idle and has a mild bark when you get on it. As far as warranty, I had dealer do install...dont think there should be an issue. Most will say you are ok just to do slips ons...if you modify ac then you will need to add tuner, power commander or HD download. If you are looking for "louder" I have heard good things about Vance and Hines Monster Ovals, which are $$. Good luck with your decision. Best you can do is find a bunch of bikes you can listen to. Hard to decide off you tube sound clips.

I went with the Basic Slip-ons on my 09 Electra Glide. 2 1/4 baffles give a deep loud growl I love. MANY complements on the sound. Went with a K&N air filter. No probs.

Installed the V&H Ovals (slip-on) on my 07 Road King. Love that 'ol Harley sound again. Not loud and obnoxious...just right! I did install a Power Commander III, though.
