That is NOT what I wanted to say but trying to be cool.... Reading about storing your bike for the winter, I just did mine. I take off easy chrome stuff and put it in the basement as well as the battery. Chrome that doesn't come off gets oiled down with light oil and sprayed with WD 40. I posted here last year or so about mice getting under the speedo on DWG's, and others. Well, they were there again, so off it came, unhooked wires and in the basement it goes. The ate the wires this time, darn, what the heck! I started setting traps when the temperature cooled, have 31 so far, almost enough for a meal, yuck. Someone needs to invent a front filler cover for these things, maybe some of that spray foam, heck, the mice would think that is dressing and eat it too. Any ideas?
Old RV trick, stuff some Bounce dryer sheets in the wiring, they don't like the smell any better than I do! Use clothes pegs to attach sheets to all your bike wiring. Good luck.
Now that's a lot of mice. I hate those little critters. Steel wool is their enemy. I put it everywhere there's a possible opening. Inside exhaust for example.
They went up into my pipes one year......they didn't like it much when I fired it up in the Spring. All kinds of flaming nest crap flew outta there and hit the wall, not to mention well-done mouse bits. It was like instant urban-renewal.
Advice about moth *****, stuffing steel wool in the pipes is good, even better is copper wool, it won't rust. I also put down a lot of mouse poison around the bike, gives them easy access to something to eat before they get to the bike.

We scattered moth ***** in our attic one year to get rid of squirrels and it nearly drove us out of the house. If you do this and your bike is in an attached garage, be conservative. Trust me, you don't want to smell them 24/7 until they melt.
Yeppers, I've posted about mice being bad news several times already this fall in several places. \
had them critters make a nest out of my air filter, babies and all, the next spring I didn't check the filter before spring start up and on the GW It didn't help the 4 carbs any... it ran but sure didn't idle right for a while..
