Still haven't gotten to town to look at a camera. Didn't get as much money from my quarterly safety check as I thought. Guess I'll have to get a "modest" camera, instead of a "rubby" special!

Did get the left side mirror remounted. Shortened the stems on both sides so they don't stick out so much. Can't stand long stem mirrors; look like a coupla turkey necks stuck off the bars! Shortened 'em so they just clear my body in the rear view.

Still having fun learning the clutch. I may have to get serious with it next winter and get the lever pivot point moved forward about 4 inches. That'd give my long legs a better angle on it. 'Course that'd screw up all that shiny chrome, and I'd have to bead blast it, then shoot it with some wrinkle black.

I can't believe you actually put something with chrome on your bike. That means you'll have to polish.[sm=badidea.gif] Do I detect a RUB in the makin?

Skip,

Not sure what impresses me more, the work you do on your bikes[sm=interesting.gif], the places you've been[sm=ts.gif], the service to your country[sm=americanasmiley.gif], the way you seem to be able to ride[sm=smiley32.gif], your attitude[sm=hail.gif], or the fact that you are getting a DIGITAL CAMERA. [sm=Flahssssss.gif]

Welcome to the 20th Century!

Mac
I was thinking about the fact that he put chrome on it.

Fine lookin' installation, Skip, functional as well as a tasteful application of *gasp* chrome.

Yeah, the foot lever in the 2nd pic is the clutch pedal. You can see the clutch cable running approximately parallel to the lever. The spring over the bare section of the cable didn't come with the kit. I added it to prevent the lever from flopping around backwards. I'm finally (knock on wood) getting the hang of it, but it would better if it was at least a couple inches forward. Oh well, the curse of long legs.
