You want to ride 7000 miles do it, but pay somebody to do it--I think Not.
The entry fees all go to the charities. But I'm sure that don't matter to you because you sound like one of the Me, Me, Me, types that are so prevalent in our society today. "Whats in it for me"?????

I think as much as I hate this old cliche I'm gonna use it anyway.....

There are people who spend thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, or even into the millions to compete against someone on a 1/4 mile track, around a circle, or on a twisty road course. (They call it racing)

This is $1,000 to compete against a group of like minded Harley riders for a significant prize. It is open to those who would like to participate. Those who do not wish to participate need not do so. Anyone, participants or non-participants, is free to do that ride, or any other ride, alone or with a group, any time they desire.

There is no scam involved in the challenge.

Again...Touche'. I couldn't have said it better myself. We don't have to justify our decision to participate any more than you have to justify why you're not.

I sent a link from here to an old time and very good friend that I used to ride English bikes with in the mid 70s. He told me when I was looking at bikes again that I really needed to look at H-D because they were reliable, (Like anything wouldn't be compared to a '73 Norton SS Commando.), has a younger brother who lives in Homer and sent him a link to an article from the Homer News.

I'm torn. I'd love to do it but the $$$$ and the time, since this is the busiest time of the year for my "retirement job". I voted as an undecided but come April & if there are openings...

Your funny frogg, I am glad you aint running the race. I dont understand why you begrudge other people doing what they want. I bet your a fanatical anti smoker and one of those people that worry about what everyione else is doing. If not I apologize. Merry Christmas.
