SKull L.E.D. Fuel Gauge

I bought the new skull led fuel gauge and hooked it up on my 2004fxst. and the bike has around half a tank a gas and all the lights are still lit up is this normal or do the lights go out when it gets lower?

If you have a half tank and all the LEDs are on, you have a problem. Assuming your stock gauge behaved correctly, my best guesses are:

1. You inserted the wires into the connector incorrectly or attached them incorrectly at the gauge.
2. The gauge is defective.

yep I would agree - Refit same and see then if it works , if not bring it back.

Did the led fuel gauge come with a sending unit, or is it supposed to be ohmed for your stock sender? What years does it apply to?

I am curious, does the gauge have a red led to signal low fuel and then flashing for really low fuel? also how bright is it supposed to be? I can't even see mine during the day...please let me know...no one seems to know the answer to these questions.
