No White Christmas in Ind.. Maybe time for a Ride.?..

In my 52 years I've never seen a white Christmas. One pretty good ice storm a few years ago but never snow. Not until today. 14.5 inches officially. That's about 10 inches more than OKC sees total per year so there's no equipment to deal with this much snow. Our roads will be covered until it melts off. That could be days. There are literally hundreds of cars stuck on the sides of the freeways that will be there for days because wrecker services are that far behind. I shoveled my driveway and a single lady's across the street. Drifts three feet deep. I've never seen snow 3 feet deep and never want to again. Florida is looking really good about now.

I rode head first into "White Christmas" today, and I never ever want to do that again. Left home at 10am and headed northwest. Made 140 miles no problems and then started seeing snow pack on road. The last 10 miles was a nightmare from hell. By 3pm the roads had cleared and made it back home just fine. Never got over 40* though. I had forgotten how cold a motorcycle can be. Only met 2 other bikes today on the trip. So now I know there are at least three idiots in these parts!

The 50 mph winds got me here in Indiana. Couldn't get out for my Christmas ride. I went last year when it was 22 degrees and sunny. There is always next year.
