My mom worked in the textile mills for 15 years!!! What are people supposed to do when you take away theyre whole life they knew just to save money...? Didnt save any money in the end...
Man I hear ya! This is East Ky. It was readin, writin and route 23 North when I graduated, we all went up north to keep from working the mines! Then they took steel, big rust belt, then the next generation ran south to the mills. Until about the early 90's when they destroyed the Textile Industry.

We got this information economy now, get on our High Tech devices and go through some India Call Center and tell each other how we lost our job to a Chinaman or an H1B Visa from India.

We gonna buy houses and cars and high end Harley's on the money we make from selling each other hamburgers and cutting each other's hair.

One big wet dream credit bubble bust to the next then they say we ain't got no credit to float the next bubble. The Wall Street upper crust just slammed the working class for a generation of debt covering their bad bets they had insured through AIG, which of course we bailed out. Now they take the money that was supposed to free up credit and buy Eueopean Funds that pay over 6% while we can't get 1% on savings.

Trillions in debt, and selling off America one job at a time! Best GD government money can buy, with a corporate lobby running congress sticking money in freezers and Wall Street getting their boy appointed as Treasury Secretary!

One friggin Harley comes back this way and I'll never buy another one and kill every sell I can for the rest of my life!

I followed the link to their India Website. Their quality already sucks. Did you notice the picture on the page with all the types of bikes has a pre 2009 for the CVO Ultra. Maybe they are selling used bikes over there?

Caterpillar has kept it's lead over all the other manufacturers in the world like Kamatsu, Fiat Allis and others by manufacturing it's parts and equipment all over the world. A part or full machine made in India or anywhere else is equal to any made in Peoria or Asia.

Its the specs and standards not the machinist or assemblers.

The product does not know the color of the skin or language of the worker unlike some posters here.

If my next Ultra is made in India and costs $16k I will scoop it up.

Default Pre 2010's

Those bikes can't be 2010 bikes, with the EPA CAMs and the Catalytic Converters, No way a 2010 will sound like that.

A 2010 will not run on that rotten gas over there, most of the big bagger's have to have at least 93 octane! Of course they probably still run leaded in India and will get pre EPA bikes.

May be the only way we can get a good Harley, get an India's Harley and sneak it across the boarder!

Put some of them old drug tunnels to good use, may become an Indian Hog Smuggler

Imagine that. An international company trying to tap into one of the largest and fastest growing economies in the world. Its called capitalism.
