On the grips unless I'm in stop and go traffic, then I cover.

Where when you ride? Lightly resting on the clutch/brake levers or wrapped around on the grips?
Here in NY I ride with fingers on the levers

Depends, if I'm out alone with little to no traffic, around the grips. As the awareness of potental danger aproaches, on the levers. If some idiot in a cage does something stupid around me, at least one finger is waving in the breeze.

Long stretches-> right on the throttle or palming the TH- boss, left on the knee(dam thats comfortable!) In town or in traffic covering the levers!

That's an interesting question! I always have mine on the grips but I can get to the levers very fast if needed! I guess whatever feels comfortable to you!

to avoid cramps, keep a couple of fingers just resting on the levers regardless of conditions, and get a cramp buster!

I am close to the brake/clutch in town but out on the interstate I sometimes rest the heals of my hands on the grips and lightly wrap my fingers around the mirror stems.

I ride as I was taught in Riders Edge, fingers wrapped around the grips. Levers are there and available in a hurry if needed. Much more bike control with hands on the grips, then with opne hands hovering over the levers.
