Wife and I have the full set also and are waiting for the salt to get off the roads so we can get a good ride in.
One of the main things I like about it is that you don't have to bundle up like an eskimo and peel it all off/put it all back on everytime you stop somewhere.

Gerbing recommends wearing something light under the liners such as a t-shirt and just something to break the wind on the outside.

One size up on the overpants should be fine.

The dual controller is a must imo.

Also, Gerbing has a warning in bold red in the instructions about always making sure the bike is running when connecting and disconnecting the coax from the bike. Says it can do something to the brain on late model bikes preventing them from starting.

My Gerbing gloves just arrived yesterday after 6 weeks. Too cold and icy to try them out so my question to others is should it have included an on/off switch? There is only the harness from the gloves and connection from the battery. No switch. T5's.

Thanks, Brent-

The only issue I've ever had with the gloves is if you unplug them without turning the switch to off, I pop the fuse. I guess its calling for power at that exact moment then by unplugging them causes the poppage. Mine are about 5 years old and still do the trick for me. You gotta have the thermostat or you'll be constantly turning them on and off, cause they will get hot.,,

Gerbings is fine if you want a Chinese controller. You can read about it on the Warm & Safe website. Go to the "About Us" section.

Default Pants liners

I did go one size up on the jeans when wearing the liner. I looked at both over pants and the liners and the lady at the shop talked me into the liners. My original plan was to wear the overpants over my jeans and shuck them off when I got off and iside somewhere. Glad I got the liners since it plugs into the sole warmers and I would have to strip down to go get the over pants off. Still comfy at stops leaving the liners on. They are right about the thin layer next to your skin. I used some very light weight silk long johns from Academy and the only problem I encountered was where it bunches up around the inside of you thighs when you sit I had a burn mark (like a sunburn) on both sides. Might need something a little thicker down there. Jeans don't really cut the wind very well but it did fine in 20 degree weather. I imagine if I had worn my chaps it would have been even toastier but definely not needed for anything over 40 dergrees.

No switch. You'll have to either get a controller or just plug/unplug them as needed.

This is the biggest problem with Gerbings. Order your gear in the late fall and they'll show up just in time for spring. I'm on week four and the dealer informs me they are still waiting on Gerbings. Tried to order directly from Gerbings, but 18 phone calls later nobody answered. I hated to support a company run like this but the gear is pretty good.

I've bought my gloves at a BMW dealer, cheaper then Harley and they had everything you could want on site. Also the Polar Bear group I ride with has a guy that sells the stuff every week. All cash and carry. Where do you live?
