I've read through all the exhaust questions I could find but have more questions. I have a 2010 Road King. It has a stage 1, and Vance and Hines slip ons.
It runs awesome but I want the best out of it and can't wait to get rid of that Cat converter...Here are my questions.
1. I will put the pipes on myself. From what I have read since I already have the stage 1, there will be no need for any tune adjustments, right?
2. Will new pipes help it to run cooler in the torture rally bumper bumper traffic?
3. I am mechanically inclined but any tips I need to know about.
4. Is there any reason why I shouldn't instal aftermarket pipes
The only way you're going to get "the best" out of it, you're going to need some form of fuel management and a good dyno tune once you have your exhaust setup the way you want.
