To the younger generation, nothing has been said about the old days that was not fact. It was a different time. The OP asked and I think a pretty good representation was given by us ''old guys''. My hope for all is that in 40 yrs or so you can tell younger riders about the good old days. It would be cool if we could all meet somewhere and tell the old stories face to face.

I agree. Talking **** when you're clueless and have no idea what you're talking about makes no sense. So... How old am I?

Don't know where you from but here in Chicagoland back in the day it didn't matter what you rode as long as you did ride !!!

Not so much about good or bad old days but more so on modern road improvements...I guess that's what I be meaning. But, LOL, it seems that I don't have to run as many leading left turn signal lights as often as I use to back when....or signal the car behind me to pull up. HA...most of the time they had a petrified look and scared to move foward for some reason.

They were free at the VD Clinic. All you had to do was show up and get a penicillin shot and they would give you a box, whether you had the clap or not. It was also a great place to pick up chicks. ... Yeah, thanks for the memories... the VD Clinic was the place to be back in the old days...

Great reading and a lot of truths. Seems to me that the bikes just didn't look as fancy back then, if that makes any sense. I'm the only one of my close group of friends that rode a bike back yonder, and I'm still the only one today.
