My wife loves to ride with me which is great but she relaxes so much when she rides for a long period of time she falls a sleep. I have a Road King Classic which I love however I do get a little worried, for obvious reasons. Any thoughts to make it safer for her like arm rests or something that would help hold her in better.
Maybe take rides where there are things of more interest to her to see. Never heard of someone sleeping on a bike before. Does she fall asleep riding in a car? Maybe she has developed some medical condition that would shed light on this. Or maybe make more frequent stops so she won't get bored. What does she say when asked why she dozes off?
Bungie cords? Try a Red Bull. I really think you need to find a way to keep her from falling asleep. That can be very dangerous not only for her, but can cause you not to be able to control the bike.
She has a fairly high stress job that results in alot of hours a week 60+ hours a week. When she rides she gets to fully relax, she says that she gets to relax. Proof positive that the bike is better than any psychologist and one of the best vacations a person can have. I really dont want her to have a bad experience because she does trust me, and am not entirely sure that I want her to always stay awake, but just so that she doesnt fall off when she does. I have never had her be sporadic or unsafe when sleeping and she drifts in an out of sleep and me touching her leg she wakes up. Sleeping may even be to strong of a word, dozing off might be better.

Bungie cords, I like it.
Seen lots of women sleep on the back, Iknow one who carries a pillow and turns around puts her head on the tour pack on a Gold Wing.
I am a rider that DOES fall asleep! But there is safety in our Ultra Classic, when my head nods forward bumps his helmet, he knows I've dozed off and either gives me a "hey you" in the intercom or pats my leg.
Negotiate a way to keep her safe, don't take away her down time, its the reward of a full work week.
I'll be darn. My wife had the same problem when we rode the Fat Boy. Bought an Ultra and the problem was solved. She now can dose off but, doesn't fall off.
