I love my dealership as much as i can like a dealership. But I never had a desire to join a hog chapter. I wouldn't care about getting kicked out of one, but thats pretty funny. Hog chapters are like the lowest level of motorcycle clubs, so if you get kicked out of that, you know you are really meant to be a lone wolf.
then I guess I need to learn to howl................................lol
All clubs have cliques and personality clashes, whenever you get a decent size group of people together this is inevitable. But, I would think it would take some doing for someone to be banned. Like the saying goes, there's two sides to every story.
well there are really three side to each story, each person thinks they are right, then there is the truth. And to be honest I do speak my mind and if your do-do stinks then I not going to tell you it smells like roses, but I will help you clean up...............lol......worked with people with special needs for over 30 years there isn't too much that I haven't stood in, had thrown at me, wiped on me, or seen.....

Beware the Cartersville Harley Davidson dealership in Cartersville, Georgia. As
a Harley owner for only 4 years but a rider for over 40, I do know a little
about bikes, as a worker with special needs adults and children for over 20
years has taught me a lot about people. After being banned from the HOG chapter
last year(lol, I am the only one that I know of that has been banned from a
chapter), I approached the GM about joining up this year just to ride, missed
the rides, and some of the people. Well after a couple of months still no
answer from the GM. So after a long conversation with a lawyer friend of the
family and a old bottle of scotch, well, it was interesting ..lol. WTF we
bought two bikes from this dealership and my wife used to spend $100-200 a month
on clothes and don't ask me how much bling I have bought from the same
dealership, to me this was my dealership, like a second home. Cartersville
H.O.G. Chapter "Where Friends Become Family" is a lot of hog ****. Nothing is
further from the truth. I should have listened to myself at this same time last
year, and spent my money else ware. Now if what I am going to say hurts,
then so be it, right now, I don't think we will be taking too many applications
for friends lol. If this had happen to anyone here on the hangout, I would
have gone off at a meeting, ride, dealership function, to get the point across
that this is wrong, and you can't do this. I give credit where credit is do as
that HNIC and his, have just about ruined this chapter. And I didn't realize
that I presented such a threat to anyone there, are people that afraid of
people that speak their minds. Sorry I am not changing, you get me for me, and
I am not going to crawl to any GM and ask to be a part of any organization, that
is supposed to be free and open to all. So Cartersville KMA, won't spend
another penny .there. Might join a ride leaving from there, but they have
lost this Harley rider, and, if people ask me where to buy a bike, I hear that
group at Killer Creek is got their do-do together.

That's the problem with too many Chapters IMO. Too many people with too many opinions, and your attitude of too bad...your going to hear what I have to say. Well....didn't we do enough of that at work?
There is only two things you have to do in a HOG Chapter - Ride - and have fun!! There does not need to be a lot of discussion over that, but people want to talk talk talk talk talk...because they know more than anyone - they've been riding 100 years, and they know more than anyone...bla bla bla...too many egos - too much testosterone.
My husband put a big saying on the back of his tour pack "SHUT UP AND RIDE" And I have to agree with that.
Too many cooks in the kitchen of some HOG chapters. I know...some are perfect. Ours was perfect for 5 years. Got big BIG accolades at the POT Training in Las Vegas....but then the **** came.....!!! They can have it!!
Geez, now I can appreciate that not all HOG chapters are created equally! I'm new to Harley and just assumed that everyone had a national HOG membership and hung out with some sort of local crew. I really lucked out and just happen to live near a really, really awesome HOG chapter!
As a matter of fact, I tell people that having this really supportive and knowledgeable social club is a large part of the reason I'm glad I chose Harley over Triumph!
There are a lot of differences between the general members, but we all have at least one thing in common! Sportsters are not treated with less respect, our Director is a stand-up guy that we all admire, and it's no problem approaching less capable riders and giving pointers because we're all adults and there's no need to be defensive when the other person approaches you like a pal.
I'm moving across the country this year and I have really high standards for my next motorcycle club. I hope after bad experiences you guys are/have been able to find better folks to ride with!
I'm not one to join any club. It all seems like a bunch of adults trying to hold on to their grade school days. HOG seems like it would be among the worst of the bunch - not only trying to hang on to their grade school days, but trying to pretend to be an M/C at the same time.
I would imagine, the only thing worse than being banned from a HOG chapter would be wanting to join one in the first place.

Our chapter was like that too until some folks from across the country moved here, joined, and decided they knew more than onyone in any HOG Chapter and they were here to help!! In fact they were here to tell you how good they were over and over and over and over, and challenge the whole HOG thing, and disrupt each meeting, and bitch and moan, and do it until they took over! Membership went down over 60% when they finally got what they wanted.

All Chapters are obviously not the same.We have a very good one which most everybody gets along and that seems to be the key.If you're had problems with one don't slam all of them.I chose to be active because I want to and have met a lot of folks who became good friends and I enjoy their company. It's what you make it.
