Default New HD code reader?

Anyone bought this new shop toy yet? If so, how do you like it?

I know we can toggle, read and erase though the switches but this looks like a quicker way to check and erase bogus codes or do quick checks to make sure there are no serious ones in there.

Here you go.....

Code Master Service Code Reader

Be prepared when you visit your dealer for service. Diagnostic code scanner easily retrieves trouble codes from your vehicle's computer to diagnose problems. The pocket-sized diagnostic code reader simply plugs into your bike's vehicle port, and automatically connects to the onboard computer. It reads the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) and displays the DTC description on a bright LCD screen. The Code Reader Master allows you to clear codes with the touch of a button, and also lets you to double check the current calibration ID for your motorcycle. The Code Reader is powered by your bike when connected. Kit includes palm-sized reader, J1850 connection cord, and instructions. Available starting March 2010.

32312-10

IN-STORE PURCHASE ONLY Contact dealer for pricing and availability.

For use on '02-'10 VRSC™, '07-'10 XL and XR, '02-'10 Dyna®, '01-'10 Softail®, and '02-'10 Touring models equipped with J1850 protocol On-Board Diagnostics information plug.

MSRP US $149.95

So on line from Chicago HD or other discounters probably cost about $120.00?

Just re-read and see not available until March 2010 so my guess only a tech or someone with inside connection has it.

I took a look at an older style code reader some time back. It was so expensive I couldn't believe it. The new one doesn't work on my EVO so I guess I'll just have to keep on counting flashes.

Default Code Reader Feedback...

Since feedback on this gizmo is in short supply, I have decided to buy one from Tri-County HD near Cincinnati. In fact, buying it online through them I received a price of $119, not $149 like on the official website.

I will be happy to share delivery turnaround (the dealers could not truly tell me when I would get it, nor if on backorder, etc), ease of use, pictures, reliability, etc etc. Please let me know if there is some specific feedback you would like and I will provide it.

$120? I think I will stick with the manual method.

Does this tool do any more than can be done manually. Is it worth having?
