Default Valve cap issue.

My valve cap came off the stem on my rear wheel.. It was a chrome one.

Is it safe to ride?

No. Stay off the bike. You probably need a new tire and maybe a new rim. Have a certified Harley Davidson Technician thoroughly check your bike for other missing parts. Use JB Weld on the new cap when you get it so it doesn't happen again.

Also you will void your warranty if you don't use HD brand air in the new tire.

Your'e gonna have to rebuild the motor before you can even think about firing your bike back up.

Is it a new bike? Sounds like a warranty issue. Have it trailered to the nearest dealer, don't ride it in that condition.

They're all wrong. It's okay as long as you have your flashers on and honk at every stop light.

Probably be a good idea to stop at every gas station to check and or adjust your pressure!

Personally, I would be sure to confront the dealer which did your last service. If they did not check ALL fasteners as to the condition (looseness), they could be forced into paying for the lost part, the labor of installation, AND any consumables used for the re-installation. If they give you any ****, just go directly to the nearest attourney's office, as I am sure they'd want to know about it so they could conduct a survey of other Harley owners plus the MOCO's manufacturing records to see if this could be an ongoing problem with certain models thus warranting a class action law suit. I'm SURE mine came off at least one time, a few years ago!
