Good point. I had a pair of black cowboy boots (Texas gal you know) that my deceased father bought me. I rarely wore them since I have others I prefer. I went to a cobbler and had them put oil resistant soles on them so I can wear them when I ride.

Some of your contributions to the ebay community are probably appreciated more than you know...
I don't understand it- but nothing surprises me any more.
I think what it is, some people don't buy new boots and clothes in fear of looking new and accused of looking to much like a poser. With all of the critics around, I'm not surprised.
Wish people would dump the better than thou attitudes. If I applied some of this 'biker' logic to all things in life, wouldn't it be a screwed up world? If a newbie says something stupid about anything, playing ball, skiing, golf etc. I will take the time to help him learn and won't shrug him off like a RUB or a PUBE (poor urban bike enthusiast). Actually the pubes can be the worst ... know Harleys but know diddley squat about social skills or much else for that matter.
Been around bikes since I was 20, now I'm 60 ... just because he knows sh*t about Harleys doesn't make me better than him.
Gump had it right ... "Mumblerz are PIZZ ANTZ, N E way". Hate seeing people whisper in any situation .... pet peeve of mine.
Seen all kinds of RUB's and PUBE's, "A"holes in both groups.
