I am moving from Corpus Christi TX to San Diego and need a trailer... My question to you all is... Has anyone transported their bikes in a 5x8 U-Haul trailer?
I used an enclosed trailer. I was able to remove four bolts, one in each corner of the trailer "box" and replace from the inside with an eye bolt. This gave me four tie down points. I then constructed out of two by four lumber a wheel chock so the front wheel would not turn to keep the bike from falling over in case of a violent bump or anything. When I returned the trailer I removed the eye bolts and replaced with the stock bolts. Worked very well!
