That is a total do what makes you happy answer the best answer because you have to do what you like. That said, I won't tell you what to do. I'll tell you what I like.

WW's look old school. So they will look good on an old school themed bike as the softail deluxe, not good on a vrod.

Same for the type of wheel. Wire wheel good, cast wheel not good.

Aspect ratio of the tire/tire sidewall height. Good on a tire as the new sportster 48, not good on the front tire on the softail custom. Narrow white wall just does not look as nice as a wide white wall.

I had a '35 Buick with 4" wide WW's. Looked great. Now at this point in my life I don't want to spend my time polishing chrome or keeping my WW's white on any thing I own. Though if I had that Buick today I don't think I could put black walls on it especially that the car was painted black.

So what is your take on what all of us had to say?
