He needs to understand that it isn't ever just another harley. Everybody has their own direction and personality in their bike . It kinda sounds like he just likes the attention !
The word Poser comes to mind. I'll give your buddy credit for being honest with people when they ask him what he rides though. It would appear he wants to be part of the HD social family, and not the riding family.

LMAO! and it is a VN900... And the thing is I bet hed buy these shirts.
I tried to help him out, there were several nice HD's for sale when he was looking for example, a duce (Forgot the year) for 12K had like 4k miles on it, fully chromed out, HD custom paint, gear helmets the whole 9 and I showed him this bike and he was like, it is just another HD. thats when I was like wow, good to go man you got this one on your own.
(Someone should tell him Harleys hold value much bteer then a metric.) I would but I have washed my hands with this. I have already told him all this when he was looking/buying his bike.... didnt want to hear it from me.

I have a friend who makes a real good living & could afford a harley, but rides a 600 suzuki that he bought used. He has harley decals on every vehicle he owns, a harley jacket, shirts & even a laniard he has his security tag from work hanging on. He won't lie about what he rides, but he will skirt around the truth as much as possible
I dont understand that.... weird huh. I dont make much money at all, and I saved every pennie I made for years to get my baby. It is more than a bike to me. My buddy is acting like a yuppy

Let's see, you get upset about him buying and wearing HD gear because he doesn't owna a HD. But, you only have one HD tee shirt and you own a HD, and it was given to you. Hmmmmm.
Methinks that maybe you may be upset with your friend because he asked you for help and then didn't buy what you suggested.
Not trying to offend you, but I think this is a little deeper than what someone wears. BTW, I ride a HD, I do wear some of their gear, I can afford it, and I like it. I also wear UA gear, never attended classes there, Saint's gear, Never played there, NASCAR gear, never raced with them, etc........... Just so everyone knows.

Chill and have a great day.
No why I am mad is becuase he doesnt like Harleys thinks that they are to plain, ordinary and makes fun of Harley riders at the shop then goes around and sports the gear.
