I have owned, Kawasaki's and Yamaha's. My last bike was a Yamaha and I would have kept it when I bought my Harley if my garage was big enough. I used to buy into the whole mentality of Harley's being junk until I rode them and was around other that had ridden them for years. I think part of it is the investment that one has to make in a Harley versus the lower expense of a metric. I used to think "why do I need a Harley" until I could actually afford one. Now I am sold. Would still consider owning a second bike that could be the down payment to my next Harley.
