On really hot days I flip mine up and leave it open for awhile. I have a weenie-shield too though, so I don't get the wind blast catching the shield and jerking my head back...unless it is a very strong gust of wind. I carry a camel-back to drink from on long trips and it is nice to be able to just flip it open and drink. Mine isn't a very good one and the air flow could be better. I have the H-D Stealth modular on my wish list. Anyone have one of those? If so...what is your opinion? Is it worth $275?

I have the H-D Stealth Modular. There's a couple versions of it with different graphics. I have the black helmet with silver ghost flames. I think they offer a plain black as well. Anyway, I've been very happy with mine. The place I work you have to show a security badge with your picture on it to get in the gate. It makes it easy to flip up the chin bar to show your face. Other guys who ride that don't have a modular have to take their helmets off.
Anyway, I'm not normally bit on full face helmets. I prefer to ride with a half helmet. But, I also don't have a windshield. So, for riding in the rain, the full-face modular has been awesome. I think it's been worth the $275.
I also too have the Harley Stealth Modular helmet (made by KBC) and love it!!! I love the fact that I can lift the shield to talk, smoke, drink, and get a cool off (it's hot out there!!) I think it's worth the $275...I was going to go with the FXRG, but loved the style of the modular.....I have no complaints to size to weight!!!
I went with the Legendary Style!!! Around town, I flip it up and it locks..and I do this occasionally for some breeze! It will really be great when it cools off outside...
My 06 Road King is the first bike I've owned with a shield. I wear a full face helmet and find myself riding with the visor up unless it is cold. No problem at 80+ with the shield.
I use the Vega on my Ultra, I can ride with the chinbar up ( visor closed) and no problems, drink, smoke etc at 80+ but then I'm on a UC...I do have a 8" fastair windshield on it now and still, no problems....
