So I just got my first 1/2 Helmet, And ITs a pretty sweet helmet. Its the 55s From Gmax with the internal pull down visor. But I HATE the padded Strapping. It half covers my ears and makes me look like an Idiot!
will it cause me trouble to cut off this padding? I think its just there for comfort. but Im not 100% sure.
I have a Gmax, but the padding doesn't bother me, shouldn't be a problem to cut it off if you don't like it though. I would look it over thoroughly and make sure the straps go all the way through and connect to the helmet first though.
No, ITs like micro fiber on the inside of the strap, but it blocks my ears, and I dont like that.
The Straps go all the way threw the "Cover" and are rivited to the helmet body. Ill try it for a few weeks with the covers on, and if it does bother me... Ill take them off. Maybe they will help me conceal some ear buds.
