My wifes 883 barely got 80-90 miles no matter the riding. Probably closer to the 80 mark. Small tank, type of riding...Still getting 37-40 mpg realistically. Just ride it!
I just pushed 190 miles on my street glide and it was cutting out and I was sweating when I pulled into the gas pumps.

familyman,
Is your wife´s 883 a custom or not? what i mean, is the tank the small one (3.3gal) or the big one (4.5 gal).
I do love riding it and the bike feels great... Just wanted the HD guys take a lot at it just to make sure everything is OK.
If it is because of me the low mpg it is Fine hehe... just wanted to know is not a mechanical problem
I have gotten as low as 18mpg and as high as 49mpg.
That makes sense, i´m getting about 18mpg in my bike...
I took it to the shop yesterday and they haven´t found a single problem in the bike!
I´m guessing it is my riding style
