I was never in that dealer, but it is killer looking from the outside and looks awesome on the website. I was at Adventure a few weeks ago and it's a nice place so I think they will do just fine with the new dealer up there.
I went to a grand re-opening this weekend, new owners purchased from former owners. I was never at this dealership before, but...the place is huge and expensive looking, both inside and out. The overhead costs just to stay even with the cash flow must be crushing. The place is way out in the burbs (where the local money is) but, they're going to have to move a lot of bikes and merchandise to make a go of it. I wish them luck.
I feel there are way too many Harley Davidson dealerships. Atleast, in Maryland. I just did a google search and within an hour of Baltimore we are pushing 20+. The whole EC is covered with them. I'm surprised more are not closing.
The Monroeville shop is up and running strong. The race shop is pretty busy and they are now selling used bikes. We had a huge turnout at the open house party last Saturday, I was really busy in the dyno room and we had a blast. Stop by if your in the area.
Being from there I am glad for the hood. But as a business person I am wondering why anyone would want that stress now.Good luck and I will support you.

I am familiar with the Adventure HD dealership in Dover whose owner was the one who bought the license and building to reopen a dealership in Sandusky. Its one of the finest dealers in the state of Ohio.
Believe me, the new owner has extremely deep pockets and is a very savvy business man. There will be little stress with this venture. If anything this is the best time for him to open it because he probably got a heck of a deal on that ridiculous building George's son built.
I'm quit sure this dealership will flourish and generate tons of bike sales. After all, it wasn't a lack of sales that shut Roeders down, it was miss management of money and bankrupcy.
This an example of what always happens during a recession. The weaker competitors struggle or fail and the stronger ones come in, swallow them up at a bargain, and when times are better again make money like crazy. It happens in all types businesses.

I ride right past my closest dealer to go to Adventure in New Philly. Every time I've been in there the people are great and very helpful even if we're just making a pit stop. Sure, most of us feel that HD products are overpriced but it's a lot easier to spend the money for something when the person taking your cash doesn't treat you like you have the plague.
As long as they carry that attitude with them on their endeavors up north, I'm sure they'll make a strong go of it.
When I was shopping prices for a new bike I stopped at Adventure. I got a lecture from the sales manager about selling at less than MSRP and no set up: how the dealership they are rumored to be opening had gone belly up as they cut sales prices! My buddy and I were so offended that we will never darken the doors again!
I smoked a tabby on a recent trip to the Blue Ridge and needed a fender skirt: passed right by Adventure without a thought of stopping! They missed out on $55.00 of my business.
I always appreciated the honesty of the Monroeville branch: frequented that shop when I was in the area.
