Have pleasant story thought I would share with everybody here. Went out for test ride after drive belt/alignment adjustment on my Sportster. Came up on another rider and his lady standing on the side of the road beside threir BT. Pulled over and asked if they needed help. Said they were on reserve and ran out of gas. By the time I could dismount and cross the road to where they were another rider on a metric and two non-riders in pickup trucks had also pulled over and stopped to help. One of the drivers left, went and got some gas and returned. He told the biker, "keep your money, just have a safe ride home." Well, I know it's a brotherhood thing to always stop to help a fellow biker, kind of a universal thing don't you know. It's another thing altogether for so many non-riders nowadays to stop and help anybody. Kinda reinforces your faith in some folks. I wasn't surprised, you can say what you want about MS but if you are in trouble somebody's going to help you and if you are hungry somebody is going to feed you. We have a great state to ride in at least 9-10 months out of the year. Come on down and ride with us when you can.
Funny little story. Yesterday I started out for a ride and a couple of miles down the road came along an unmarked MD State Police car sitting along side the road with his radar unit. I was not speeding so I did not have a problem.
It seemed warm when I started the ride and I did not put my gloves on, but several miles down the road from the radar trap I pulled over to the side of the road to put my gloves on. A passing car stopped to ask if everything was OK and I told him I had just stopped to put my gloves on. He said have a great ride and pulled away. Funny thing is the car was the unmarked Police car.
Either he was a biker himself or maybe there are a few good cops out there.
I got a flat on my RK the other day and while I was sitting on the side of the interstate waiting for a trailer I was offered help by: two goldwingers, one Kawi rider, two Harley riders, a Dump truck driver, a semi-truck driver, two pickup truck drivers, and a State Trooper who didn't even ask to see my D.L. It's nice to know there are still people out there who are willing to help.

The grocery stores around here have a fuel perks plan that you get so much off a gallon for what you spend in groceries. I've gotten in the habit of filling a few 5gal cans in the back of my truck to get the most out of it. I've pulled them out a couple times for people that have run out on the side of the road. 2 Bikes, 1 pickup, and a car full of college girls.
Couple of good stories here. I always stop and have had people stop for me when I've pulled over for any number of reasons. There are still good people out there.
