I bought the 850 Commando Roadster that I asked for your help with pricing on.
1974 and its in very nice shape for having been ridden.
The shift linkage and kickstart are a bit wobbly but nothing a light going over with a wrench won't fix.
Top end sounds tight, bottom ditto.
Numbers all match and less than $6K Canuck is nothing to sneeze at.
I am sooooo pumped.
Can't wait 'til wednesday..............
Thanks for your input!
Any and all other tips will be greatly appreciated.
I remember when I was a young teen back in the UK and next door lived a couple of twins. They were about 20 had had matching black & silver Norton Commandos. I used to watch those guys just rip it out of their driveway & up the road. Used to scare the crap outa me but I still think to this day that was when the urge to ride got to me. Used to love those bikes and saw a restored Commando here in Edmonton last year.
Good luck with that - I'm sure envious and as said before please post some pics
