Haven't field tested a carbon fiber helmet and have no real desire to either. My last field test of a helmet resulted in 2 casts.

Perhaps one of the best parts of that picture is the REAL skid lid protecting the headlight!

I just picked up one the AC-3 Carbon Fiber Helmets from extremesupply.com. I've only been on 6-7 rides with it, but I really, really like it. It's light comfortable, and fits great. Make sure you follow their (HJC) sizing guide, as they run a little different than other models. Good luck.

Most metric shops carry HJC helmets in stock. I strongly suggest a visit to one of these shops to try the helmet on in person. Once you've selected the correct size, then you can order it online & save some money.

Carbon is lighter and stronger then fiberglass and ABS plastic but carbon conducts electricity like lightning. Just a thought.

Great advise. That's exactly what I did. I actually found one at the Harley shop. Except it wasn't the Carbon Fiber. At the HD dealer it was only $95 more than the Carbon Fiber model I bought on line. Again, if you buy it on line, the regular models are at least $100 cheaper. But it DID have an original Bar and Shield HD decal on it claiming to be HD equipment. Go figure.....
