Have owned Hondas, still own a Yamaha, but the feeling of riding a Harley surpasses them all. Also, from my childhood, I have always liked Harleys. Then there is everything everyone else has said, so far, except for the car alarm bit.
There's just something about having a Harley. It makes a statement about you. And, it is American. You really do have to have one to really understand.
I love to research all types of American history, what other brand of motorcycle has HD history? Just one slice of what I like to read about, study but come on......riding an HD living off Route 66?
Spent a lot of time/years working on our Star metric big cruisers, still own one. Doing the same types of engine mods, suspension, chrome, etc as we are doing on the HD's. However the dealer network for support, ideas and fun stuff like clothing is 99% internet. Just not the same.
