You know....living in Indiana I thought Sheriff Joe was great. Now watching the news (Phoenix) living up in Kingman not so much. Maybe he is losing it in his old age, getting the Bobby Knight syndrome?

oops....sorry about the hijack!

Sherrif Show Isthisthingon is losing it in his old age.
Emissions testing is supposed to go away.
Unfortunately not soon enough, I ran one bike through last month and have to run the bagger through this month. (the damn fuelie can barely get coaxed through.)
Some E85 helps to get the CO down. I never have a problem with HC.

Maricopa County annual motorcycle emissions testing is scheduled to end on 4/1/13. If your registration is due in February or March you still have to pass emissions.

It was the only county in the country that required M/C emissions testing because of the pollution trapped in the Phoenix area (a large valley surrounded by mountains).

Good news. I'd like to move out west one day and AZ is one of the states I'm considering. FL got rid of all vehicle testing and inspection years ago and it's one of the best things they ever did.

The date I have heard from several sources is April 1, this link says by the end of the first quarter of 2013, which is the same thing.

Unfortunately, the DMV hasn't updated their web site yet and still states awaiting EPA approval.

Yeah just ran my sporty through yesterday and failed with only 8k miles on it, passed no problem last year. Will be pretty sweet if I don't have to do it next year and the fee for bikes is 19 bucks.
