ok whats a good brand for kids street style fullface DOT legal lids? the only ones i can find locally are ment for motocross/off road. i'd like to find somethign for my kids 4 and 5 years old thats is more of a street style full face helmet and not in the vasiline needed price range.
This link list it as a karting helmet but it is listed on other sites as a motorcycle helmet. It also "meets or exceeds DOT standards". I've seen them listed on a few other sites for around $89. I want to buy one for my daughter but I'm afraid about not being able to get the right size for her.
Well, my slow *** computer threw this up right after I posted the last link. There are more options here. Some of the helmets in closeout are under $70.
I got one at the local HD dealer for $150 , not cheap , but I fitted it there , so was better deal than buying the previous 3 online ones. Then again buying a helmet for a 19 month old isn't easy!!! He does have a larger head for a kid ... like almost 19 inches around or so.
Great thing is his 1st ride is almost done! San Diego,Ca to Tampa , FL only 500 more miles to go in the sidecar!!

HJC makes one, I have it for my 7 and 9 year old. size XS.
HJC and KBC both make good Full Face kids helmets. CycleGear.com and MotorcycleSuperstore.com both run good sales from time to time. Only problem with kids helmets is that they outgrow them before they really get broken in. I agree that it is crazy to pay more than necessary for helmets for kids. I picked up an HJC full face size XS for $65 at a Kawasaki dealer while getting the "bastard child" bike serviced.
