Unlike many here my purchase did not go so well. Ordered several items using their sizing charts and going with the advice of others on their own web site added sizes to each one to make sure. The order arrived in separate packages days apart. Had to send everything back to exchange for still larger sizes on each item with a request for the next bigger. I mistakenly sent them back one at a time as they arrived rather than in one mailing. Took their recommendation for adding insurance, etc. Took forever to get the refund credited notices back and then was told that all of the required sizes were not available even though they were all listed on their site. They cancelled the orders except for one, a pair of $8 gloves that by the time I paid for original shipping, return shipping etc cost me over $40. Could have bought the same quality at any mart for about 4 bucks. Got me once! Never again. Threw away my coupon or you could have it.
I buy a lot of stuff from Leatherup.com - a couple of jackets, chaps, boots, gloves, my wife has a couple of jackets and a couple pair of chaps... all good stuff, all holds up well. Easily worth what you spend on it.
I have a jacket from them. not sure if its the one your looking at but their jackets do seem to fit a little sung...order one size bigger and you shouldn't have a problem.
i ordered a jacket from leatherup that i ended up sending back, the leather and construction seemed fine i just didn't like the styling. online it looked a lot better than when i put it on. after about two more online jacket fails from other companies i just stopped ordering jackets online and buy in a store, or try on in a store then buy that size online.
I've raved about the jacket I got from them and I feel even better about it after visiting a local custom leather shop this weekend. I won't mention the local shop because there is nothing wrong with their products but had I bought a similar jacket there I would have spent close to $200 more and I'm not at all convinced it would have made a bit of difference and it wouldn't have had the added armor.
No vendor is perfect and when buying online there is a lot of room for problems but in my experience (I'm **** as hell about these kinds of purchases) leatherup hit the mark on every level.
I have 2 online discount code:
"NEWGEAR" is good for 15% off but expires 10/3
"55633" is good for 10% off and will not expire
I have the classic jacket with zip out liner. I've had it for 2 years and it's a great jacket for the money, but it's just a tad too snug. If I wear it without the liner and only a t shirt, it fits just about perfect, but I need more room to move around and wear a hoodie underneath if needed.
I used to order Harley Davidson branded boots from them at great prices compared to the Harley dealership but they no longer offer Harley boots....went to Xelement(?).
I think their stuff is pretty good and great prices.......you get what you pay for....that is unless you buy Harley Davidson jackets from the Dealers
