It is way east of Speedway like 45 minutes. We are about 30 minutes south of Muncie, 12 minutes east of Fishers, 25 minutes north of Indy (downtown), 12 minutes from Greenfield, 20 minutes south of Anderson, 10 minutes north of Fort Ben............It is not really off a main road, off of a state road, major highways close to us are I70....about 10 minutes south, I69 10 minutes NW.....Coaster found it pretty easy.

RE: Forum members accomodating traveling members
This is great! I can see it already, "baby, I quiting my job, selling the house, and you are moving home with your mom. I'm going on the road with what I wear, some gas money, and my bike. I will crash at the member's of HDF for the next year. " This is going to be great! I can't wait.
P.S. to all members that I will be gracing you with my presence, please have a functioning washer & dryer (a t-shirt, jeans, pair of socks, & drawers can get pretty filthy in a year) and can I borrow some gas money!
Actually, I belong to such a group on another board and it is a ton of fun! I've had a couple people stay here. They put together an "Assistance Handbook" in Microsoft Word that was only e-mailed to those that signed up to volunteer and didn't post anything on the board. And there were different things you can volunteer for (lodging, a meal, a hot shower, tools, help if broken down, etc...) That way you could print it and carry it with you. Even if you didn't want to stay the night, if you were passing through and something unforeseen happened...you could call a member and see if they could help. It would be harder here with SO many members (that board has probably 200 fairly active members...so you got a feel for the folks that were likely candidates.) I enjoyed hearing their travel tales and using it to have an excuse to have a little party the night they arrived and invite some other riders over. I had the guy that put the Handbook together stay here 3 weeks ago and had a nice little cookout with some locals too. I'd be game to do it here as well.
As with any idea, it has it's pros & cons. I'm a member of the AMA. Along with that membership, I'm on the "Helping Hand" list. It's a similar concept, but geared more toward break downs and emergencies. What prompted me to join, was a guy I stopped to help on the side of the road one night. I pulled in behind him, and he come up to the truck and said "Hey Rick, I'm George, nice to meet you." I said "nice to meet you too George, but I'm not Rick." The look on his face was worth the stop. He appologized and proceeded to tell me that some guy on this AMA list, was on his way to help him out. I waited around until Rick got there. Help them load up his bike (flat tire) on Rick's trailer, and off they went. The rest of my trip I thought about it pretty hard. I'm not much on memberships, clubs, and such, but I travel that same road on my bike a bit. It's pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Aside from me stopping, poor ole George would have been screwed if he hadn't been an AMA Helping Hand member. I was about 2 hours from home, as was he. If the shoe had been on the other foot, I'd have been screwed. All that being said. If you ever run into a snag in the south western part of VA. I'd be more than happy to help out any way I can.
I'd be happy to be on a helping hand type list for breakdowns and such. And I'd be happy to meet you somewhere for a beer or dinner. But I've got to know you before I let you stay in my home.

Well, what if they decided they didn't want to stay in your home, after they got to know you?
