Got a 1976 dirt bike. The clutch has only ever been used to start and stop. Nothing has ever broke, tranny-wise or clutch-wise. Do it sometimes on the HD and don't worry about it.

No wonder there are so many trashed used Hd's on the market.
Yep, works every time until it's broken...

As an ex-trucker who shifted clutchless for 9 years, shifted dirt bikes clutchless, and a couple of pickups with 4 speeds, I know what it should feel like. While it's true you may break in your gears and shift pawls, drums, etc. for clutchless, it will only take ONE missed shift to end up in the hurt locker. I bought a sporty for $1100 long ago from exactly that - tranny was lunched from a missed shift.
The Harley tranny does NOT feel right to me for this technique, so I'll continue using what is nowadays an easy clutch pull. I've had Trumpets and Beezers that were harder.
