Bought a pair of Lee Parks DeerTours at the Bike Show in Long Beach last year.
Not cheap, not expensive, but holy cheet mang they are by far and large the most comfortable gloves I have ever worn. Got the outseams so I wouldn't have that annoying clump on the knuckles. Wear in hot or cold, they have gauntlets also. They run a lot smaller than normal gloves. I normally wear a large but with theirs I got a medium because the door stretch out but won't get bunched up.
Dunno about the mechanics, batting or golf gloves, pretty thin on the material and if you fall down go boom, it's a bee digging asphalt outta your skin. No much protection which IMO is why we wear gloves in the 1st place. But to each his own.
I have a pair of the Fox Creek Deer skin gloves, that I wear Spring, Summer and Fall. As stated above they run big. I cannot wear the XL Harley gloves but had to get a medium in the deer skin. If they are to snug, dampen and wear til dry. Also, they do not stain your hands when wet.
Batting gloves were suggested by one of the instructors for my motor class (gloves are required). If I have to wear gloves, these things rock, can't even tell I'm wearing them. Mine are Under Armor brand.
