Not specifically; but rarely is a repair like that just one thing.

Ya, considering that the engine has been redone to some extent it's hard tellin what's goin on there. Maybe I'll just kick back a bit on that one. Maybe I should consider putting a bigger front end on mine with a 3 inch tire. I'm sure it's a pain in the *** but so are rain grooves in the roads out here.

Latest from the owner is that the cam in the engine was urgraded and that a bolt came out. Nothing stripped just came out. I'm not sure how a cam upgrade constitutes 3 g's worth of engine work.

Probably where the bolt ended up after it came out is where all the damage was.

Sounds like the dude is trying to give you his trouble. If he has that much in the engine them why let head gaskets stop you? Keep your bike or sell it and find a better one.

I've asked myself the same questions. The engine work was done by or paid for by previous owner and apparently not done very well if the bolts are coming out. That's the first thing that bothers me. He claims the blown head gasket is due to the bolt coming out and there are no other issues. Seems stupid to me to sell it like it is rather than just replace the gasket and ask more money for it IF that's the only issue, which I doubt. Anyway, I think I'll tell him where to go because the whole thing is starting to stink. Thanks for all the input. Might of saved me from a big headache.
