This is not the first time I have heard this way of thinking. I had the opportunity to talk to a member of a local MC last year. Not going into the MC name, but let's just say they don't drink anymore has something to do with their name.

Anyway, this member I was talking to was dead set on believing that carrying a weapon helps people see you. I asked him how and he really didn't know why. But he would have bet on it... carrying a gun makes cages notice you and keeps you safer. I just walked away and didn't try to make any sense out of it.

The time I had a gun pulled on me in New Orleans traffic, I noticed and paid attention, I promise you that!

Some people are just out of their minds. Two months ago I came up on a guy doing 10mph on a 50mph country road. I crossed over the dotted yellow line and went around him (in my truck). Looked over at him and he was red-faced screaming at his dashboard like he was arguing with someone although nobody was in the car with him. I didn't think nothing of it, plus I didn't make eye contact with him, say anything, beep the horn or anything. I thought maybe he had car trouble, but no. Next thing I know he's on my bumper screaming at me hanging out his window telling me to pull over and shaking his fist at me. I kept driving and ignored him, after about a mile he made a right turn (still doing 50mph) into a side street and almost rolled his car. I don't know what his problem was, maybe whacked out on drugs I don't know. But be careful out there.

Almost every time I make eye contact with a guy he thinks I'm checking him out - coulda been that maybe.... You did the right thing, taking care of the boys is #1. There's some crazy people out there and it sound like you found one more of them.
