Read an article in the Washington Post last week stating if most motorcycles had the ABS like available on the Ultras the accident & particularly the fatality rate would go down about 30 to 35 percent.
that's alwys good. the military has for sure kicked their motorcycle training/documentation up ten fold. i would like to see a comparison of cruiser fatalities vs. sport bike fatalities.
kind of off subject but for the Marines we have to take Basic Ride Course, Experienced Rider Course (every 3 yrs), and do the motorcycle simulator once a year. plus have the DMV issued moto license.

read a report last week that showed that a rider with a police uniform on had 50% less close calls than the same rider riding the same road at the same time in street clothes at a later day...
So we all need a police uniform to wear while riding....It'll cut accidents in half..
Wonder how many fewer miles were driven on motorcycles in 09? I mean, sales were off drastically. Seems obvious less miles rode would equate to less accidents.
Was a similar study released regarding fewer auto deaths in 09 and the fact something like 1 billion miles less were driven due to the economy.
Just saying...
Cause I personally have not noticed anybody paying more attention out there...
