Rain riding only if I get caught in it with no place to wait it out. My bike is for enjoyment of which is there is none under said conditions.

My thoughts exactly. Doesn't make me a puss just cause I don't like to ride in the rain. My preference...

Back when I was young and broke, lucky to just make a shovelhead payment I hated the thought of rain. Now with all the rain gear and SPACE to pack it rain aint' no big deal. Got caught in some Sat. night coming home from the DICE Magazine show in Des moines, 65 miles of slick, wet roads. No problems, at least bambi decided not to make an appearance on the roadside. Lotsa' neat bikes at Kung-fu Tap. If they ever hold a release party near you take it in. Just wish my shovel wasn't still in labor!

If its just a normal rain I don't mind. Many times there are cloud bursts that I don't even like riding a car in. Just for example, yesterday here in the New Orleans metro area, the Mayor said don't go out if you don't have to. Flood and Tornado warnings etc. , If you ride in that type weather you are just missing a few nuts and bolts in the old noggin.

I got caught in a horrible storm while out on my bike about 2 weeks after i got it. My first real motorcycle and I was wearing a dirtbike helmet with safety glasses (waiting for mine in the mail) The worst part about it was the sting of the rain on my exposed skin and having my boots fill totally with water. Otherwise it wasnt all THAT bad.... Cars splashing water around was kind of annoying, but once you are soaked you cant get any more wet anyway.
