Why would you want it? I have it on my new car and I hate it. It's been over 3 months and still not 100% use to it. If my car has an auto trans it might not be too bad, but with a 5 speed it sucks since there is a delay when you shift. I love FI on bike, but other then that I want themot be as hands on as they can be.
I would think it would be backward compatabile only if the ecm and other wiring would support it. May be fairly expensive to do it. I have had both and have actually seen no change with TBW other than the ability to turn off the back cylinder at a redlight if the temp is too hot. Mine will go into that mode by itself if I leave it alone i guess. other than that i don't know if there is a advantage to having tbw.
Certainly you can repair a throttel bable on the side of the road if yo have a spare but if the tbw goes out, you have bigger fish to fry anyway.
