leather jackets?

I also wear my vented leather into the 80's - at speed definitely no problems. I prefer the protection of leather whenever possible. On real hot day, especially if I'm riding locally with a lot of stop and go, I'll wear my Vanson VentMax jacket made of 1000 denier knitted Cordura mesh. It is total mesh with soft armor and made in the USA. 1000 denier Cordura offers a lot better abrasion resistance than some of the cheaper textile jackets out there. Wearing it in the pic below. Vanson is now making a 4th gen version with some improvements but same basic principle.
