I have two Pro Pad mounts on my rack. I have put thousands of highway miles on these and they are still not worn out. These are some tough flags.

Made in the USA.

I'm gonna go with the tour pack folding mount with highway flag. The website has $76, is that about average price at the stealership?

At least the Alexandria dealership gives me a 10% military discount.

I mount my two flag mounts onto my saddle bag rails and have no problem putting my detachable sissy bar/luggage rack on over them.

1) Their fittings are for specific bar diameters. I don't currently have a luggage rack, but hope to buy one someday. The diameter of the sissy bar is different from the diameter of the bars found on the Harley-Davidson Air Wing Detachable Two-Up Luggage Rack (Part #54283-09). This potentially means that I'd have to buy a new flag pole when I get the luggage rack. Most of the Harley-Davidson dealerships that have the Pro Pad flags priced them around $60, but one had them for over $80.

2) If you have the Pro Pad flags and want to use the luggage rack for a bag or something else, you lose the ability to use the flag. That's why I figured the Harley-Davidson flag would be best; nothing would block it behind the saddlebags. My main concern was the flag scratching the saddlebag paint.

Also, the Harley-Davidson flags say they're not for highway use. The Pro Pad flags don't make that claim. I have to believe that none of the flags will withstand repeated highway speed punishment.

As long as the Harley-Davidson flag doesn't scratch the saddlebag, and as long as it doesn't damage the water-tight seal around the inside of the saddlebag cover, I have no problem using it.

You bet there is the CANADIAN FLAG.

When in Canada I fly a Canadian Flag. When travelling in the USA I fly both. Respect and tradition from my Navy days.

Bluenoser,
Isn't the maritime regulation you always fly the vessel's registered country's flag on the right and, fly a slightly smaller host country you are visiting's flag on the left flag halyard when in port? I was USAF, so I never had to worry about it, but my Dad was a career Navy officer, and I seem to remember them doing that when they made foreign ports of call. That was forty something years ago though so i could be all fogged up.
