Planning on joining the ride to the Pentagon this Sunday. Anyone know what happens after everyone gets staged in the Pentagon lot?? In other words, what's the exit plan?
p.s. I'd appreciate it if anyone could point me to a more appropriate forun. Thanks!
Go early the parking lot fulls fast around 8:00 for early leave at 12:00. I have been in a parking lot late and left around 5:30 for the parade. I do the parking lot ride with Old Glory from now on and they have a ride to the parking lot.
Now at the end of the parade is a ball field that we use to park in for the wall and etc.

We start at Old Glory I think it was like 7:00 for meeting about the ride, flags and forget what time kick stand up was. Each Dealer has a different ride in.

Unless it's changed over the last few years, the exit plan is one or two bikes at a time leaving the Pentagon lot for the parade/procession. Divide 1 or 2 into .... say 100,000 motorcycles and it can be a long process depending on where you get parked and who the organizers decide to let out 1st. In the past my turn for the parade (which usually starts at noon) assembly came around 3:45pm. It is neat to ride in the parade but can make for a long day waiting - unless things have changed.
That being said, it is great that lots of people and motorcycles show up to support the cause (POW-MIA'S) and the spirit of Memorial Day.

We're going up on Friday and plan to ride from the Crystal City Hyatt (Rolling Thunder headquarters) to the Pentagon lot. I'm assuming we'll just follow the crowd to leave the lot and to park at the end. I've heard how long a day it is but I don't give a sh**. It will be worth it.

Yo. There's a sports bar called Crystal City Sports Pub right there by your hotel. It's a nice little joint. I lived in an apartment right there by your hotel one summer in college.
