Lowering Kits

Have a 2008 Ultra classic and would like to lower it ( dont like the seat height ). Anyone have a lowering kit on a Ultra and if so do you like it and did it help you in anyway?

a buddy had his 07 ultra lowered...DON'T do it....he's had no end of troubles with ground clearance and bottoming out while riding the highways. has torn the wiring harness under his rear fender a few times before he got smart and removed the lowering kit...now no troubles.

if you don't like the seat height..get a new seat.....

+1, I had my '10 UC lowered before I picked it up, was supposed to give me an extra inch or more, ended up being like 1/2 inch lower, not really even noticeable. I got a lower seat, and that did way more than lowering the bike.

Hard to compare mine to a UC, but I hate my lowered sporty. I'm saving cash to go taller than stock. I hate all the drag marks.

There has been some problems with swing arms cracking due to shock position etc. If you decide to lower your ride, Pull your swing arm & have it re enforced so this won't happen to you!
