I have a friend who was driving in his TRUCK when a car behind him got mad like your guy did (riding his ***, so he slowed down). When they passed him they threw an empty bottle of Jack Daniels at him breaking his drivers window and cut him up bad in the face.

I also was standing in the Harley shop when a guy was telling a story about how he thought a pickup cut him off, so he pulled over, got out a gun and started shooting at them. He couldn't understand why he got arrested.

The road is full of drunks, meth heads and loosers who are pissed at the world, just get out of the way.
Well said my man, well said

Roll up I-75 here in GA now in the #1 lane (due to recently updated law) and hold up traffic and you can be ticketed to the tune of $75 bucks for "Impeding the Flow of Traffic". As the law reads even if you are going over the posted speed limit and you are still holding up the flow of traffic you can be ticketed and GSP is currently enforcing it.
Also (and I am guilty of it as well) the Brake Check to someone riding your butt can also get you a ticket in most all states under reckless driving statutes for attempting to cause a collision, worse if you actually cause that TC and get caught.

Just be considerate of other traffic and safely enjoy your ride (and safe arrival back home). Nothing pisses off the assbite more than lack of recognition of his stupid actions.

But it's good to ride along in the left lane and **** off someone directly behind you driving a big-ol' heavy MF pick-up truck 'cause, well, Harley riders are protected by a cloak of invulnerability brought on by their bad assness.

so, just to be clear..

it seems that a majority of people are saying that its ok to ignore the speed limit signs and not ok to ignore the slower traffic keep right signs??

Of course, I've seen people going 45 on the freeways. I believe it is these people that are the cause of the keep right signs (and the minimum speed signs).

the last time I looked, there was more speed limit signs on every road I've been on then keep right signs..

Technically, if I'm going the speed limit in the left lane (middle lane, right lane, doesn't matter), I shouldn't be passed by anyone (ignoring discrepancies in speedometers of course) and thus should not be slower traffic compared to those around me.

Yes, I know speed limit sign ignorers, it irks you that someone would dare try to "keep" you going the speed limit, but come on, lets be real.. you're breaking the law just as much as i am in your argument.. why is your action ok?

and no, I'm not a left lane driver/rider (unless I'm passing)..

a good friend once complained to me about all of the speeding tickets he was getting and was asking for advice on what to do?????

I guess I should have told him to keep right except to pass????

p.s. if you can't get the humor in this post, move on..

Like I said.. i look out for me.. no blinders.. far from that in fact..
i do as i need to do to be safe....
If you guys want to dodge in and out of traffic... go for it...

As A side not...
I drove from Tampa to Jacksonville this week...
not once did i see a sign that says " left lane for passing only..."
nor did i see "slower traffic keep right"....
Although, I did see.
"Trucks use right 2 lanes only"
In my meager assumption.....
the left lane would be for other than trucks....
and usually those vehicles going faster..
<aybe rules for highway usage are different state to state...
Hell I dont know the rules to every road in the world...
Maybe some of you do though... It seems....

Never been pulled over either.... So.............
Deal with your own issues the way you need to...
Use a megaphone on your high horses
call me names. be childish etc...
But, I look out for me on the road... thats that.. deal with me however ya need too at home in virginia, or washington, or where else you RUBS live....
Ride in Va and NC and you will see signs saying "slower traffic keep right". It is the LAW.
You also said this "Originally Posted by rlowride

so, let me get my new rules straight....
i need to ride to the right... didge in and out of traffic lanes like a dousche bags so i can pass slower cars.... and get the stereo typical hes a d bag biker just jumping from one lane to the other, passing folks every where...."
Now everyone ELSE has to "didge" in and out of traffic, trying to go around you on the RIGHT. Passing is to be done on the left. You are making people angry AND holding up traffic if you are in the left lane and people are having to pass you on the right because your "5 mph over" is not maintaining the flow of traffic. You are a prime example of what causes road rage. Inconsiderate drivers. You'll get ticketed if you get on a high speed road (interstate) where the traffic moves at 80mph, and you are in the left lane doing 5 over the limit. Mark my words, I have seen it done. A slow driver is more dangerous than a fast driver, due to bottlenecking traffic up behind him.
If you don't putt around slow in the left lane, no one has to dodge in and out of traffic. Intelligent drivers move left to pass, then merge back right and maintain speed. You are a rolling roadblock, and while you may not have an accident, you have surely CAUSED many. Not my battle, since you don't ride on my local roads. Thank GOD. You would learn quickly. Rules of the road are to be followed, not interpreted differently because you want to be passed on the right.
/end of rant, I'm tired of this, beating a dead horse here.

Around here, on the Interstates, you won't get ticketed for doing 15 over the limit. But bottleneck traffic, running slower than the flow of traffic in the left lane, and you will get a ticket. As you should. Road rage is common when people are backed up , traffic jammed tight, when one person tries to do the speed limit on a 8 lane interstate in the left lane. I guess we drive faster here, because the left lane is usually moving at 10 to 15 over the limit 24 hours a day. And the State Troopers move right along at that speed, and don't bat an eye. This isn't main street we're talking about, it is INTERSTATES, made for moving large volumes of traffic efficiently. Damn, that horse is still dead.
