If a patch is sewn on then it is fairly obvious the thread must be removed
Single edge razor one stitch at a time
If there is also glue then acetone will remove that...no kidding here, give it a chance to soak into glue with turkish towel or similar, may take 3 tries then follow up with an overall wipe anywhere glue smeared to.
Treat with leather conditioning to undo the acetone damaging the oils.
If acetone changes jacket it probably isn't worth worrying about and just put another patch where damage is.
This question seemed as valid as "which cam should I put in or how do I adjust fall away.?"

Asking how to remove threads is as valid a question as cam install & adjustments?
No offense to you but that statement is absolutely ridiculous (in my humble opinion).
How much water should I put into a 16oz glass? 14oz, 14.5oz, 15oz?
What if I fill it up too much and I spill some? I could have water running down the side of the glass, maybe on the counter top or even on the floor.
Now I created a trip hazard. What should I do?
Yeah um cut the stiching LOL! Some people that sown on patches use glue as well to hold the centers down nice and tight-thats how mike is then stiched on the outside edge.
