Default New ride...

After working at the local dealership for the last few years I decided it was time for something new. So instead of turning wrenches for a living I will now be selling them (and other tools). Wish me luck, I have alot of truck and inventory to pay for over the next few years.

Was in sales for a few years back in the 80's. Hated making cold calls with a passion. Good luck with your new job.

Good luck on your new line of work. You only get out of it what you put in, somebody told me once you'll never work as hard untill you work for yourself. Wish you the best.

get ya some chrome wheel covers and bumper. And if it's a gas engine, throw Flowmasters on it, that will get the conversations going with the mechanics a little easier. Good luck

Good luck. A friend of mine was a Snap On dealer for years. He had a custom made truck and had one of the largest territories in North Alabama. Made tons of money (this was before the economy crashed). He also worked looong hours, about 65/week. What time he wasn't on the road selling he was inventorying, checking broke tools, or stocking the truck. He carried a pistol with him at all times and had to pull it out on someone once when they tried to steal something off his truck. He also had to repossess several toolboxes worth thousands when the mechanic couldn't make his payments. No offense meant to the mechanics here but he told me that they would rape you if you didn't know what you were doing. A tough bunch. The upside was that there was quite a bit of peer pressure among the mechanics to buy tools. The more you had, the more status you had among them. He made out pretty good on that.
