Default new hope

This conversation had me concerned about the 20 wghts on my rear wheel, so, i cut one off the wheel to read the small print. It turns out that each one says 5 grams and .18 oz. My math calculates these numbers to right about the 3.5 oz harley allows, I think. wHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO HARD FOR A LAYPERSON????? by the way, they are not lead or steel but i dont know what they are made of either. Any help??

Instead of putting 1 big one on like the stock wheel came with they put on 7 smaller ones. Did the same to mine but only 4.

If you don't like the way they look take them off and put some dyna beads in.

Default OK Dawg, thanks for looking that up.

Is there a process/formula or a method to determine how much should be inserted into the wheel. What if too much is used and how do you know??? I know they are sold by the ounce, seems like guess and go to me.

Actually, I just counted them. I've got a total of 4 ounces of weights.

If I was to switch to using dyna beads, would I need to remove the existing wheel weights on my spokes or just leave them there?
