Default rust

Does anyone know what will work to get rust speckles and such out.
I am detailing my recently purchased 05 Super Glide. I am using Never dull wading polish. It works great on some light stuff and really blings the chrome. But on the deeper stuff not so well. Any help will be appreciated.

Yea, just about unfrikin believable. I've got mine chromed out just to the edge That chrome and alum. engine stands out better than the black one in my L/R. It's over 8 years old and still drooled over. I guess the black paint job enhances the shine. Back to the OP, try rubbing a rag with WD-40 on it to get the rust off, let dry, then apply some chrome polish. Myself I use Marine Polish (in a blue bottle) made by Starbrite.

There is a metal polish called Wenol that works great and another called Flitz. Both usually result in an outstanding finish and shine with a little elbow grease or a dremel tool with a small buffing wheel if you're careful.

#0000 steel wool always works on metals and chrome. Be very careful with whatever product you use, polish, compounds etc. Once you've marred a finish you're screwed. I put a little water on the chrome when using the steel wool. Very light scratches can develop if you are not careful with this as well.

CLR, not sure how it will effect the surroundign chrome so its best to d oa surface test in a concealed spot. but a little dab on a q-tip and blot the rust area and let stand 15 minutes or so
